The paper presents a second order projection method (PmⅢ) which can be used to study laminar natural convection numerically by solving its relevant governing equations. Taking the natural convection occurred in an inclined parallel-walled channel as an example, the results of the application of this method to the heat transfer problem were compared with experiments, and an excellent agreement was obtained. This shows that the method given in this paper is reliable and an effective one for numerical heat transfer.
