Information for Authors

The Journal of Computational Mathematics is an international journal on numerical methods, analysis and applications, publishing original research papers in English, French or German, but preferably in English. From 1998, it will appear bimonthly (instead of quarterly).

Manuscripts should be typed in Tex(LaTex, AmsTex), and should be printed on one side of the paper only, double-spaced with wide margins on all sides. Authors are encouraged to use the style file of JCM. One original and two copies of the manuscript including figures and tables are required. All papers will be refereed. If a paper is accepted, the Tex(Latex, AmsTex) file of the paper( including figures and tables) should be send to the Editorial Office either by E-mail or simply by registered letter (for disk).

The numbers of formulas should be placed in parenthesis at the right margin. Superscripts and subscripts should be typed clearly above or below the line. Please distinguish clearly those symbols which are prone to confusion. Footnotes should be avoided whenever possible. Figures and tables are to be numbered consecutively.

The paper should be arranged as follows:

Title
It is essential that the title be clear, concise and reflect the contents of the paper.
The authors' name, the authors' affiliations
Abstract
It should be a brief and reasonably self-contained.
The main text
It should be divided into sections with subtitles, the first section should be an introduction.
The References
The references should be put alphabetically by the last name of the authors. Multiple entries for a single author are arranged chronologically.
The form for references at the end of the text is shown by the following examples:
Papers should be submitted to: Editorial Committee Journal of Computational Mathematics, Institute of Computational Mathematics and Scientific/Engineering Computing, Chinese Academy of Sciences, P.O. Box 2719, Beijing, P.R. China.
